I this is the site I spoke of. Although it looks like a normal web site, its not at all. Once you sign on then you and only you have permission to access the content management system that lies behind the scenes. It's modules are programs that give different functions to the system. Permissions for users can be set,  pages and modules can be hidden giving different privilege of access to different parts of the system.

The entire system runs off Mysql database where all content is stored and categorized for taxonomy and search options. Text pages, photos, scanned documents, product files, customer files, and video is information that is automatically filed and readied for any type of action needed. Protected as well as your bank account, never to be lost and always easy to find and retrieve.    

Since this is all built from open source software and free, the service I offer is to provide set up and professional advice to clients. Providing direction to clients on how to best use these services.

But what is it good for?  First it creates a real time line of interoffice or customer/service communication. It also provides accounting and management access to the same source documents, spread sheets, and databases. Personally if you use a system like this you can set up a camera and simply go to the page you set up for it and view it ... from your cell phone, or from any web device anywhere. As long as you have the password, you can connect from any place on the planet.

You can't loose data. Unless you want to delete things, pictures, scans, and documents never get lost.

This particular page, can be accessed only by you and I, permissions can be set for individuals, groups, for one page or a group of pages, or for functions and modules like this word processor.  I gave you full permissions, so on the left will appear a link that says administration  there you can access inside the system.

Everything can be customized. For example the word processor can be set to be inside this page ... or to operate outside in full screen.

What truly sets this apart from all other applications is that it's "open source" and Free. Besides the cost benefit aspect, it is fundamental to a growing business to be able to adapt the systems it uses. Open source permits the companies adjust the software it uses specifically to its needs. The fact that "open source" is a collaborative effort to create software means that there are thousands of experts working on the software you use.

These applications are advancing at light speed, they will soon have more functionality than store bought systems.

Private communication, this is important and good for every one. Instead of an email I sent you a link to this letter, you can see the link only because I gave  you permission. This letter, is not on Gmail, Yahoo or other server is on mine and securely saved in a database that I can catalog and sort any way I wish. 

It's truly endless what you can do with this.  For instance I can include video below to give this letter more kick than regular email.
