BUILD A COMMUNITY SITE, IT BELONGS TO YOU

Building a community site and using the site as a marketing tool...

1. Sign up as a user on the site and become part of the community that builds and operates the site.

2. Once you sign in you can add content and locations to the site. Adding a  location entails... taking a picture and setting up an Article with location information.  You become the maintainer for the Article and  location you create. 

Create an Article Step by Step

Articles can have a picture, so it is best to have a picture cropped and ready of the location you want to add first. 

Go to "Add content"  / Article

Title ...   The name of the location, plus the street address. This will show up when you hover over the map marker.  

Directory...  Select a Category that best suits the location you are adding. You don't find the right category select other,  let us know so that we may add it for you.

Street ...   Select a Street that best suits the location you are adding. You don't find the right category select other,  let us know so that we may add it for you.

Body...   This becomes a full text editor if you  select Full HTML  below the box. Take care as to what  cod you copy and paste code when you do this as Full HTML, but to embed movies you will need to change editor to source and then paste the embed code. Then, switch to Editor to make the embed code to work.

Tags... Place here descriptive words separated by comas. These will sort content by the words you include and add to SEO of your Article.

Image...  Upload an image (if you have one) , Prior to uploading be certain the image you want to use is not too big, and crop it in paint.          

Location... This is the only button you will need from this lower section. Fill in address information as required, this will find its place on the map, and put up a marker.    

That's it ... now click " Save "

Marketing

Once you have locations set up for your community you and others can use this as a marketing tool.  

1. Go to the map or street index and select an article or location .

2. Call and pitch your product or business, add information about your contact in the comment section. These are private comments that can not be seen by the public.

New Business... Call your neighbors business and tell them who you are, advertise  on the site. Build a network with others, provide special offers, find employees, build your page to show products and services.     

Church... Add members and participate in your community. Announce activities on our calendar, create forum or a news letter  

Politics...  Call and introduce your candidate to the locals. Start a Forum to express your political perspective. Send our your news letter !

Schools...  Students participate in building community. Build Facebook type relations create, events, forums and teach how to use technology.
