Loosing your religion ?

I think its important not to loose faith and at the same time see this history as it appears. You will find that this version of events feels more real, and will in the final analysis strengthen your faith or give you faith in God if you had none before. 

There is truly a conflict here between good and bad. As good and bad are concepts you can interchange with the character of Jesus Christ and Satan. Although this account is difficult to accept it is only the truth that we should believe and for a Christian Christ is the truth. It is difficult to break loose from centuries of conditioning, but if Christ is the truth then what appears to be more true must be Christ.

Lets start with the final words of the bible.   

Revelation 22:18,19

18  I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.

19  And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

 

This is on the last page of the Bible.  This says that there will be punishment for those that change the Bible or at least the text of Revelation. It is written because it was clear that people would change the book to suit their interests. None the less there is much good in the words and life of Jesus Christ, and they are still there to read. The perspective you have when you look at this book and events is what is important.

I will say that there is room for the honest man to doubt that all of the Bible is the absolute truth. If you can find a lie and then another then you know that there are more. God gives us this ability to distinguish truth and we should apply it when reading the Bible. There is great beauty and truth in the word of Jesus Christ, and there is hope through him. The teacher Jesus Christ is in is in your soul in your conscience not in temples and priests.      

These topics may make you re-examine your faith in religion.  What religion would this be without truth?  To me, knowing all this only strengthens faith. What I have lost faith in is humanity.  It was these very priests and temple that Jesus condemned 2000 years ago. They were liars and cheats then and they remain the same now. They killed Jesus Christ, and have killed millions since.

Read between the lines and you will still see the true sprit of Jesus Christ.

How and why do we believe.

First you will believe what you are told... we are like children we only know what our parents tell us.  

There are many roads that lead to belief in Jesus Christ. Try to apply to others the love of Christ in the differences that you see in belief. Do not condemn others for the differences in their religion. 

I did not believe in God until I began to see the deception. It appeared to me if there was within us a power that could be so deceptive, so occult, then there was also a power that was open, truth, loving and good. I now know this evil and how perverse man can be... because of this, I prefer to believe in a good God, the God told of by Jesus Christ.

Miracles are because they demonstrate the supernatural... to day if you saw someone walk on water you would know its a trick.

Think of who the audience of Jesus was, slaves, the poor in a time of ignorance and illiteracy. The effort of Jesus Christ was to give a changed supernatural belief to the world and he did this by speaking to the poor. Look at the geo-economic situation of the place he came to speak .... this was Egypt. It was not Rome or Israel... it was in actuality Egypt the bread basket of the world. Rome fed its empire on the agriculture that Egypt and its slaves produced. Not only was this Egypt but it was Greece. The Pharaohs had been Greek Macedonians since Alexander the Great 330 years before. This is the place the son of God comes to, "take away the sins of the earth."          

It is also a time of great change and turmoil Julius Ceaser had been murdered, and then Mark Anthony and the last Pharoh, Cleopatra commit suicide in the face of defeat. The young child of the Julius Ceaser and the Pharo Cleopatra had been annouced to be the next Ceaser and Pharo and God as well.

Well this is history, and what is God. Well to the Egyptians and to the Romans God was represented in  human form. At that particular time of history there was no one that was more God, than the son of the pharroh and Julius Ceaser.        

We are not Egyptian slaves are we... we don't believe that the Pharro is God... what is God to us today ? 

What is Jesus Christ what is God?  First it would be practical to define what God is.

The one Supreme Being, the creator and ruler of the universe. A deity, a supernatural being, who is always of significant power, worshipped, thought holy, divine, or sacred, held in high regard, and respected by human beings.

This definition alone proves Jesus Christ as there is plenty of evidence that people believe in him, hold him in high regard, worshiped , etc...

Our Christian God is not quite the same as that defined by a dictionary. He is a personal God, a living God. Someone you can speak to, someone that if you have faith in him will change your life. He is a good God and he does no evil.    

About a thousand years ago a man named St. Anselm made a short demonstration, in Pros logion, a famous proof of the existence of God. His ontological argument  "that which which nothing greater can be conceived"... that must exist in reality, since reality is grater than just a concept that would imply that God does exist.

This is good, but how can we see some sense of God in our life. 

Look at the past ...  look at what has actually happened in the past ten thousand years of civilization. We have certainly eaten of the tree of knowledge.  And over this time of two things have been growing at the same time. The increase of knowledge and our capacity to be kinder,  the apparent improvement in our society over time. The fact is we are both smarter and we don't kill gladiators for sport any longer. There is still a great deal of suffering, greed and bad things in general. But, over the years we did not actually plan to get here... its mostly just happened one soul at a time. Then would not the collection of all these souls be more like the will of God instead of the will of an individual soul?   

If God represents the alpha and the omega then as we look at our past ten thousand years we see improvements and we see them as good. This is a very true observable fact. We are moving closer to God... we are moving closer to what is good. 

Now think of Jesus Christ, think of the phrases like ''the truth will set you free'',  '' In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning''    

First there was the word, Jesus came with a message of the inclusion of all of us into this word. The kindness that comes from the sermon on the mount, this hopeful vision that could be attained if we follow him. Can you see the similarities  between what reality has shown us of our history and what we feel in our soul, with the word of Christ?

The word that is generally used to describe the spiritual things is ''metaphysical''. This word means after physics.. that which is not physical.      

So these two things kindness and knowledge, have been converging since the times of Jesus Christ. These are metaphysical... spiritual things  kindness on the one hand and knowledge on the other. You cant describe kindness or knowledge in physical terms.  No  kindness and knowledge are not physical terms.  

Jesus Christ is kindness... he is love, he is knowledge, he is the truth and he is the way.

Is this not only the road we have traveled for the past 2000 years... Its been a difficult road filled with evil and hardship. Yet, is this not the road we have hoped for in our hearts... do we as Christians not ultimately look for kindness and truth above all else. What we have recognized is that there are forces that have opposed this ideology, there are people that rule us that have taken the word of Jesus Christ, and have used it to fool us into submission and confusion. Killing people, torture, and war is not Jesus Christ.    

If you need the miracles, if you need a resurrection I don't think I can prove those. I can tell you that I have experienced miracles in my life  and I can tell you of others that have experienced miracles in there lives.

But you will notice as our ignorance wears off we need less and less to be impressed with miracles. We just need simple things like love and truth. Those are miraculous enough.

Nor do I need magic tricks to confirm my belief in Christ... existence is miraculous. The word of Jesus Christ has transcended existence. That is not only miraculous, but its a beacon of beauty and love that illuminates this otherwise existence of suffering and evil.    

Eternity

Although it appears that our minds will never be able to logically understand our universe. Eternity we quickly grasp at least on the surface. The strange thing is if you ask this question... '' if you could never get out or die and were forced to exist forever... given a choice would you prefer to live for eternity or choose to end your existence.''  If you give it some thought hell is eternity... you would run out of tings to do... you would eventually want to die of boredom... Say in Islam what would you do with a dozen virgins for eternity .. not 100 years .. not 100 thousand but eternity. We humans were are not really made for eternity.

Hell is eternal... we are pretty close to hell here on earth... imagine this for ever, domed to repeat your life for eternity... even the good times eventually would be repulsive. If you like food then think of eating your favorite meal over and over again for eternity.

Heaven... yes... once we believe and accept Jesus Christ, we accept love and truth, we are forgiven of our sins, we have worked to understand the word of Christ and have removed from our selves carnal desires. We have become the perfect vessel for our journey into eternity... we desire nothing, we have love in our hearts, we hold the truth within us and we have been forgiven for our sins .. Simple.  This is truly the only logical way to exist in eternity.

Mathematicians study infinity between 0 and the number 1. We generally look at infinity or eternity in terms of our lives and our time. But eternity can be a reduction process as well. To die and live an eternity with your sins and transgressions...to live with yourself for ever. One second can be an eternity. Careful what you choose.

For further mechanical understanding, Quantum mechanics brings a definite order and logic to our universe. It tells us of possibly 11 or more dimensions that exist in each atom of our bodies. That these dimensions tie us to this universe from one end to the other in both space and time, making for a deterministic reality. There is too much perfection too much order for it to be random there must be a God.

No one needs proof that we are of this universe. No one needs proof that religion has been around as long as we have been around. If we are of this universe then our belief in God is of this universe. Its no delusion its a reality that is part of the very nature of human existence.

The universe has been here for 15 billion years, and it will be here another 15 billion years. In a mere 10 thousand years we have gone from people living in huts believing in God, to people living in space believing in God. In those 10 thousand years one man Jesus Christ claims himself to be God, and people from every nation accept his laws to those of there own. People have accepted he is God for now two thousand years. His words are perfect, good, kind and loving... who would not believe he is God.

Who would not believe?  many, yet the story inspires many other to a spiritual conviction. 

The father the son and the holy sprit. The holy sprit is in us, our soul. The father is the God we believe as the creator of existence, the Alpha and Omega. The son is Jesus Christ the personification of God.   

That's how its told. 

I for one that did not believe in God till I was 54 years old. That year I spent investigating the historical context of Masonry. That made me look further and further till I reached Egypt and Babylon. I came to the realization that I had been fooled all my life. That I had not understood something so important for so many years. I felt like I had wasted all those years and missed so much. I had missed having a spiritual understanding with the truth.

It was not from lack of trying to believe. I had studied. I just some how missed it. As a young man I always wanted to know what made life. I had studied thermodynamics, and chaos theory, and it all looked too disordered for there to be a God. But it turns out that its just looked disordered because of problems with our logic.

We all come to the lord by different paths, and we all see God in our own way. I came to Jesus Christ by seeing for the first time that the occult is real. That there is an enemy called Satan, and by any other name is the same. That this enemy works hard to deceive us, and has now for many years. That we have one choice, believe in Jesus, and ask God to come into our hearts and guide our lives.  Romans 10:13     

I ask that if you have a belief in good then unite behind the word of Jesus Christ. Work to understand to study the best ways to apply the work of God. To build the community of Jesus Christ.
